Each year I head out in the spring to take portraits of our daughter for her birthday…this year it was so chilly I only got a few…but fortunately her best friend and cousin was there to keep her warm so I took some of her too Waiting for warmer weather to get a few more of our little girl, who isn’t so little anymore! ::sniff:sniff::

Winter is seeming to take forever to leave this year…particularly because we have a tiny baby who likes to keep us up at night So, when the sun comes out I find our spirits lifted and new energy to do things that I have been missing, especially photographing my sweeties!

Sometimes change is good and sometimes it’s painful…we have had our fair share of both over the past month as well as several months leading up to it. I have had a tough pregnancy and then late December we welcomed our son, Jaxon, into the world…he has a incomplete cleft that he will need surgery on, but thankfully he is very healthy Then, about two weeks later, my father passed away after being sick for several months. All of this has been a huge reminder of how grateful I am for my family, how precious each moment is with them and how important God is in my life. I have made it through with Him cradling me all the way.

Hug your kids and your family members as often as you can, and tell them how much Jesus loves them (and you)…that is my simple message to everyone

I like to take my camera out to capture some everyday moments…like reading with daddy and laughing…even being mad at your mommy cus she points a camera at you a bit more than you may like
I think these are the ones I treasure the most because they are so real. My daughter is growing up way to fast and I don’t want to forget any of this time!
